The latest TikTok trend is having students destroy chromebooks with pencil lead. The pencil led is inserted into the charging station and then the computer begins smoking, eventually catching on fire.
Students-Administration is letting you know that if you are caught vandalizing school equipment you will be charged for replacement and we will seek charges of vandalism through law enforcement. Please make good choices and protect your school environment.

Attention Modoc Football Parents. Modoc High School will provide a stock Riddell Helmet for the 2025 Football season for every football player. If your football player would like to upgrade to a Riddell Speedflex helmet or any other model, MHS will cover $135 of the helmet lease and you would pay the difference. Details on how to upgrade your players helmet are on the picture that accompanies this post. Your upgraded helmet has to be ordered by April 11, to guarantee delivery for the 2025 Modoc Football Season. If you have any additional questions, please contact AD Sevilla.

We are excited to share that some of our incredible FFA students will be attending a leadership conference in Washington, D.C. this June!
This is a tremendous opportunity for them to grow as leaders and represent our school on a national stage.
FFA is a cornerstone of our campus—80% of our student body are proud members. The organization enhances our Brave Family atmosphere and exemplifies the spirit of servant leadership through service, dedication, and heart.
You can support our students by participating in our See’s Candy fundraiser. It’s a win-win: delicious treats for your Easter basket and a chance to support our kids as they take this next step in their leadership journey.

SEMESTER ATTENDANCE POLICY
This policy is intended to:
Encourage students to be in school
Encourage students to make up missed assignments
Keep parents informed of potential problems
Reduce the number of failing grades due to absences
Make students accountable for their own attendance
Provide a transitional experience for students before they enter the “working world”
The policy: A student must have 90% attendance, or fewer than 5 (five) unexcused absences, in each course to receive credit for the semester. Absences due to attending school activities (such as athletic contests, drama or music performances, field trips, etc.), short-term independent study, medical illnesses as verified in MJUSD Board Policies AR 5113, or a home health plan due to extensive illness/injury are excluded from this policy.
Students who exceed the allowed number of absences will automatically enter the attendance review process. Toward the end of each semester, the teachers and administration will review the attendance of those students and make a determination whether or not to grant credits based upon extenuating circumstances noted by the attendance office in working with those students and their families.

Congrats to Mr. Eddy & his 2025 Acadec Team for taking 2nd place. Though we were at a disadvantage, as we lacked a varsity team, we won the super quiz and did very well on the individual medal count.
